⚽BOYS SOCCER — Division II

Westerly 4, North Providence 3
Westerly rallied from two one-goal deficits to earn a hard-fought victory over North Providence. Judah Schackner put the Bulldogs ahead just one minute into the match, but North Providence answered with two goals — Jeronimo Grajales and Jonathan Fontalvo — to take a 2-1 lead. Adrian Gencarelli evened the score before halftime, finishing a cross from Anthony French to make it 2-2.
The Cougars again moved in front in the 60th minute thanks to another Grajales goal, but Westerly responded two minutes later as Schackner intercepted a ball on the left side and scored his second goal of the night to tie the match.
The game-winner came in the 69th minute when Aaron Wu volleyed a ball that deflected off a defender and looped over the goalkeeper.
Schackner finished with two goals, while Gencarelli and Wu each added one. Asa Mayo made five saves for Westerly, which snapped a tough stretch and boosted its playoff hopes. Noah Roy had a standout defensive performance in the Bulldogs' win.
⚽BOYS SOCCER — Division III
Middletown 4, Burrillville 1
Avery Sodeberg scored two goals and assisted on tallies by Hugo Lyman and Diego Alban as the Islanders upended the Broncos. Middletown improves its record to 9-3.
Jeshua Torres scored the lone goal for a Burrillville team that is now 3-7-1.

⚽GIRLS SOCCER — Division I

Chariho 2, North Kingstown 2
The Chargers took hope and a 2-1 lead into halftime, but the Skippers stepped up the pressure in the last 15 minutes of the match, with four corners, and tied up the score with 12 minutes to play when Reagan Farrell scored off of a header from a corner kick. June Merchant scored the other goal for North Kingstown and Riley Palumbo made five saves in goal.Chariho’s goals were netted by Juliana Almeida and Morgan Gearon. Dylan Whitman and Finley Campbell had an assist each. Goalkeeper Savana Debont-Fitzgerald stopped seven shots.
⚽GIRLS SOCCER — Division II
Westerly 3, Middletown 1
Sienna Mathieu scored two goals in the first half and Giuliano Jarret added an insurance tally in the second frame as the Bulldogs got by the Islanders. Phoebe Brennan collected three saves in net for the Westerly. Isabella Wheeler and Alyssa Fizzano were credited with assists in the win.
Hannah Nerdy scored Middletown's only goal in the second half and goaltender Sadie Moloney recorded seven saves in the loss.

Portsmouth 3, Mt. Hope 1
Peyton Winn led the way to the victory (25-20, 15-25, 25-16, 25-23) for the Patriots on their home court with 10 kills, three blocks, six digs and two aces. Addie Rowe contributed six kills, a block and two digs while Paige Costa helped out with three aces and 11 digs.For the Huskies, Stella Hill had five aces, seven kills, an assist, seven digs and a block. MargaretThorp ended up with six aces, 14 kills and 10 digs.
Coventry 3, Chariho 0
The Oakers were led by Kelsey Nuttin, who finished with 11 kills and 12 digs, while Christina Fernberg added 10 kills and three aces. Mia Saillant stuffed the stat sheet with 28 assists, four kills, four aces, seven digs and a block in the victory (25-16, 25-23, 25-17).
For the Chargers, Abby Tiernan contributed two aces, eight assists and five digs, while Rosie Sposato added an ace and three kills.

Barrington 3, Cumberland 2
Barrington outlasted Cumberland in a five-set battle, 25-8, 22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-10, on Thursday night.
Riley Fogarty paced the Eagles with 11 kills, 10 digs and three aces, while Charlotte Farrell added nine kills, three solo blocks and three block assists. Skyler Roloff chipped in nine kills, two aces and four digs in the hard-fought win.
Cumberland was led by Darryl Ashilaka, who recorded 16 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Alexa Ditommasso also reached double figures in kills with 10 for the Clippers in the five-set defeat.
East Providence 3, South Kingstown 1
Capitalizing on the play of Caroline Congur (16 assists, three aces, two kills) and Audrey Bernard (7 kills, two blocks), the Townies got by the Rebels, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15, 25-19.
Despite the loss, SK had strong performances from Shannon Mcgarty (12 kills, 12 digs and an ace), Lila Moffit (four aces, eight kills and eight digs) and Izzy O'rourke (four aces, 10 digs and nine assists).

Westerly 3, East Greenwich 0
Svea Crawford led the Bulldogs with 10 kills, four aces and four digs, while Ella Reyes added six kills and two blocks. Gemma Fusaro also contributed six kills and two blocks in the victory (25-16, 25-9, 25-21).
For East Greenwich, Lena Wolfson recorded five kills and five digs, and Sarah Nula chipped in three aces and three digs.
Classical 3, Cranston West 0
Amayah Womack was a menace at the net with 17 kills, eight aces and eight digs helping the Purple sweep the Falcons, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19. Also contributing to the victory were Marlowe Castille with 15 assists, three aces and two kills and Dara Agramonte with 11 assists, two kills and seven digs.
For CW in the loss, Olivia Baker recorded six kills and Emily Kodzis had four aces and 12 digs
🏐GIRLS VOLLEYBALL — Division II
Middletown 3, Juanita Sanchez 0
The Division II Islanders got strong contributions from Francesca Vidotto (eight aces, three kills), Nour Chamseddine (four aces, five kills) and Alieah Castaneda (seven aces, two kills and four digs) and swept Cavaliers, 25-12, 25-16, 25-17.
No stats for Division III Juanita Sanchez were provided.
