Nebraska trending upward for elite class of 2028 quarterback
Nebraska football is in the process of recruiting its quarterback room for the future, and 2028 signal-caller Jaxson Carper is high on the Huskers following his campus visit. The quarterback talked about where he ranks the Huskers on his visit list and plans, per Rivals' Adam Gorney.
Carper is the 19th overall quarterback in the 2028 class and the 21st overall player in his class from the state of California, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He is beginning to gather an extensive offer sheet that includes UCLA, Arizona, Texas Tech, SMU, and Nebraska.
The quarterback visited Lincoln on June 13. Carper indicated that Nebraska made a strong impression on him. Carper plans to make a return visit to Lincoln in the fall with visit season in full swing by then.
Currently, the 2028 Nebraska football recruiting class has no commitments. However, they are laying the groundwork for future classes.
This recruitment is certainly one to monitor over the next few months. The Huskers would be wise to continue prioritizing quarterback recruiting, especially given the value the entire country places on the position.
