Neemias Queta on what he learned from Al Horford in their time with the Boston Celtics

Over the course of his time playing for the Boston Celtics, vet forward Al Horford took a number of players under his wing, helping a new generation of NBA players find their sea legs in the league. And among many, current Boston big man Neemias Queta credits the University of Florida alum as a significant factor in his own development ahead of a season that will see the Portuguese center take the helm in the frontcourt for the Celtics.

"He's been in the league a long time. There's not many things he hasn't seen in this league. Just having that brain to talk to and to ask him questions about stuff that I could learn from him … He helped me a lot to develop," said Queta at Boston's 2025 media day proceedings.
