Mountain Ridge sweeps BW; Salisbury beats Rockwood
FROSTBURG — Kealana Pua'auli's near triple-double led Mountain Ridge to a sweep over Bishop Walsh on Wednesday, winning 25-10, 25-14 and 25-16.
Pua'auli finished with 17 kills, 14 points, nine digs and seven aces for the Miners (3-1).
Aubreigh Wilson was one assist shy of a double-double, posting 18 points, nine assists, five aces and five digs.
Kayden Wilson recorded six points, seven assists, three digs and an ace.
Lainey Clark had four points with five kills and five digs.
Statistics for Bishop Walsh were not provided.
The Spartans (2-8) host Allegany (2-2) on Monday at 6 p.m.
Salisbury Elk-Lick 3, Rockwood 0
SALISBURY, Pa. — Taylor Short's double-double led Salisbury to a sweep of Rockwood on Wednesday, winning 25-16, 25-19 and 25-15.
Short finished with 11 points and 10 kills for the Elks.
Ava Hummel added 10 kills, Sarah Hutzel recorded 11 points, Alivia Hummel contributed 18 assists and Beth Channel had 10 digs.
Salisbury also swept the junior varsity game, winning 25-15 and 25-11.
The Rockets won the junior high game with scores of 25-18, 16-25 and 25-18.
The Elks host Turkeyfoot on Thursday.
