Updated World Series schedule announced immediately after Brewers win NLCS
Game 1 of the World Series already had a date in mind. Now it has a location.
The Milwaukee Brewers will host Games 1 and 2 of the World Series after they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-4 on Thursday, Oct. 15 at Dodger Stadium to win the National League Championship Series.
The Brewers’ four-game sweep clinched their first pennant since 1982, when they played in the American League and called County Stadium home. American Family Field in Milwaukee (formerly Miller Park) has never hosted a World Series game, but that will change soon.

The Brewers await the winner of the American League Championship Series between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays to determine their opponent. Cleveland leads the best-of-seven ALCS, 2-1.
When is Game 1 of the World Series?
Major League Baseball previously announced that Game 1 of the World Series would be held Friday, Oct. 23 at the home field of the NLCS champion.
Because the Brewers (103) and Dodgers (100) finished first and second in wins during the regular season, whichever team advanced to the best-of-seven World Series had already clinched home-field advantage.
The Rays have home-field advantage for the ALCS and AL Division Series because they had the best regular season record of any AL team (98-64). Games 3, 4 and 5 of the ALCS (if necessary) will be hosted by either Cleveland or Tampa Bay.
How to watch the World Series
If you can’t make it out to Milwaukee, Fox will air the World Series in the United States and stream games on its Fox One platform.
Start times for the World Series games haven’t been announced yet, and might depend on the outcome of the ALCS.
