Oregon Ducks MBB unveils non-conference schedule for 2026-27 season

It's almost time for the Oregon Ducks to hit the hardwood again. As the new season draws near, the Ducks unveiled their non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season, which will begin with three exhibition games in October before the season tips off on Nov. 2.

The Ducks will host Seattle University on Oct. 15 at Matthew Knight Arena, in what will be an introduction of Oregon's new-look roster constructed by Dana Altman. Oregon will then face a pair of former Pac-12 opponents in exhibition play, taking a trip to Utah on Oct. 21 and later hosting Stanford on Oct. 25.

Then, the regular season will begin on Nov. 2 at home against Montana. After nearly the entire team from a year ago left in the transfer portal, Altman needed to invest in the portal to fill out the roster. Oregon will need to introduce its new stars to the fans, and the beginning of the schedule offers plenty of opportunity for some key transfers, including Jasper Johnson, Dwayne Aristode and Tyrone Riley IV, to quickly make a name for themselves.

Here's a look at every non-conference game the Ducks will play this season:

  • Nov. 2 vs. Montana
  • Nov. 6 vs. Eastern Washington
  • Nov. 11 vs. Mississippi Valley State
  • Nov. 15 vs. Pepperdine
  • Nov. 24 vs. St. John's (Players Era Festival in Las Vegas)
  • Nov. 26 vs. TBD (Players Era Festival)
  • Nov. 27 vs. TBD (Players Era Festival)
  • Dec. 12 vs. Indiana State
  • Dec. 20 vs. Southern University
  • Dec. 20 vs. Portland State
  • Jan. 30, 2027, vs. Gonzaga (in Seattle)

The Ducks have plenty of questions coming into the season with a new roster running the show, but many projections believe the Ducks could wind up in the expanded NCAA Tournament field in March. The rotation Altman rolls with early in the season will be worth watching, given the fact that Sean Stewart and Wei Lin are the only returning scholarship players from last season.

Everything will build up to a trip to Las Vegas to face St. John's in the Players Era Festival. Oregon's next opponents in the tournament are dependent on the outcome against St. John's. Louisville, which is led by former Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad, and Texas Tech are in the same portion of the bracket as the Ducks.
