Patriots vs. Jaguars Wednesday injury report: 4 non-participants for New England

The New England Patriots headed back to practice without four members of the active roster.

Outside linebackers Dre’Mont Jones and Quintayvious Hutchins as well as safety Craig Woodson all stayed sidelined during Wednesday’s work on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Also not participating was defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, a late addition to the injury report.

That was the list of non-participants after guard Mike Onwenu and safety Dell Pettus both landed injured reserve in a span of 24 hours to begin the week. But there were also returns amid the attrition.

Here’s the first and updated injury report ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at EverBank Stadium.

The edges and the secondary were hit last Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Jones exited in the second quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a shoulder injury and was downgraded from questionable to out. Woodson, a fellow starter, also did not finish what became a 20-3 win due to a shoulder injury of his own. And Hutchins, the Boston College product selected with the No. 247 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, recorded three tackles before a knee injury arose.

Five Patriots checked in as limited participants on Wednesday, including Raridon. The rookie tight end out of Notre Dame played 11 offensive snaps and hauled in a 30-yard pass last Sunday before suffering a thigh injury. Elsewhere in Foxborough, Schooler saw his 21-day practice window open to begin the week. The 2025 special teams captain spent all of training camp on the non-football injury list and will not be eligible for activation until the initial four games of the regular season reach the rearview.

New England downgraded Davis to out on the eve of last weekend’s home opener. The veteran cornerback, who started all 17 games last season, carried a questionable designation into the 1 p.m. ET kickoff despite missing three consecutive practices due to a neck injury. He was back as a full participant on Wednesday.
