MLB announces 2026 postseason schedule

The Cubs have, at this writing, a 98.8 percent chance of making the postseason, per baseball-reference.com.

I concur with that! And so, I present to you the schedule of postseason games. Hopefully the Cubs can go on a nice run and they’ll need many dates in October.

The schedule, though, begins in late September with the Wild Card Series:

As you can see, the Wild Card round has moved from ESPN to various NBC networks. I would think, though it’s not official yet, that games would be carried on NBC’s over-the-air channels in the teams’ home markets.

Here’s the Division Series schedule:

The League Championship series will begin on Sunday, Oct.11:

National League Division Series and the NLCS will be on Fox channels this year.

The World Series, also on Fox-TV, will begin Friday, Oct. 23, and if it goes seven games, the last game will be on Halloween:

The Cubs have their work cut out for them, but it’s certainly not impossible that they’ll play deep into October this year. Mark your calendars!
