Ex-Raiders wideout Henry Ruggs III denied parole nearly 5 years after car crash that killed woman and dog
Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was denied parole by the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners on Thursday, per multiple sources.
Ruggs, 27, appeared in front of that board in May, where he took responsibility for the death of Tina Tintor and her dog and said he thinks about Tintor every day, per AL.com.
“Not a minute goes by where I don’t think of the pain I caused her family, her friends and the Las Vegas community,” Ruggs told the board in video obtained by KTNV-TV. “I’m a religious person and pray for her family daily.”
After hearing Ruggs’ plea, the board said it would reach a decision by June 14. The earliest Ruggs could have been paroled was Aug. 5.

Ruggs was in the middle of his second season in the NFL at the time of the crash. The
Ruggs, who was selected by the Raiders with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, caught 79 passes for 921 yards and four touchdowns in 20 games with the Raiders before his release.
Following Thursday’s denial, Ruggs is eligible for parole again Aug. 24, 2027, per the Associated Press. Ruggs will meet with the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners again roughly three months before that date.
